2017 HUECU Scholarship Program

HUECU's new Scholarship Program will be awarding five (5) $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors who will be enrolled in an undergraduate college degree program during the 2017-2018 academic year. Apply before March 1st!  Learn more at HUECU.org/scholarship.

New Charlie Cards

Transit benefit participants commuting via bus and subway have been mailed a new Charlie Card by WageWorks, new CommuterChoice transit benefit provider. This card will be valid starting Dec. 1. If you have not received your new card, or to check or change your order, please contact CommuterChoice

Arnold Arboretum’s 2017 Lilac Sunday T-shirt design contest

Exposing Latent Images: Daguerreotypes in the Museum and Beyond

Among the Peabody Museum’s most important objects are 15 daguerreotypes of African and African-American slaves from 1850, taken by Joseph Zealy. Ilisa Barbash will discuss how scholars and artists have used these portraits in discussions and depictions of race, photography, vision, gender, power, the body, and anthropology.
