Harvard’s PeopleSoft Upgrade

Coming Spring 2017

Beginning April 3, Harvard faculty and staff will experience a new look and feel when they log into PeopleSoft, the University's HR system to view paychecks, make benefits elections each fall, report time and absences, and participate in performance management. PeopleSoft is being upgraded to stay current with the latest version of the software and move it to “the cloud”. The upgrade will bring friendlier, mobile-enabled navigation to make it easier to use on smart phones and tablets.

Please note that the upgrade will be preceded by 3-day PeopleSoft system outage begining on Thursday, March 30 at 5:00 p.m. EST.

After the upgrade, users will see a big difference in how the home page looks. They'll find related items grouped together on “tiles” and a slightly different way of navigating between pages, as shown below. Once on a specific page, users will find it is very similar or identical to the current system.

To learn more about the upgrade, and get ready for the transition, please take this guided tour, which runs 8 minutes.  Click on this image to start. (Once on YouTube, click the CC button on the bottom right of the screen to turn on closed-captioning.)
