Harvard's School's Out Vacation Camp February 2019

Tue - Fri, Feb 19 to Feb 22, 8:00am - 6:00pm

Harvard offers a School's Out Vacation Camp program to give parents options during the February and April public-school vacation weeks and one hard-to-cover week at the end of the summer. The program generally runs on three campuses: Cambridge, the Longwood Medical Area, and the Harvard Business School.

The program is open to the children, ages 5 to 12, grades K to 6, of benefits-eligible faculty and staff on a regular Harvard payroll.

Next session will be February 19 - 22, 2019 (note that there is no program on Monday, due to Presidents' Day)....

Objective: This workshop will introduce methods for gaining control of e-mail and managing it according to Harvard records policies as well as provide tips on how to organize your e-mail.

Out of Sight: Off-site Records Storage

Objective: This workshop will present the step-by-step process of sending records to off-site storage at the Records Center. We cover everything from how to assemble and pack a box to how to complete the deposit paperwork.

Length: 1 ½ hours

Who should attend: Employees who have not yet sent records to storage as well as anyone in charge of packing and depositing boxes who would like a refresher course.

Trash or Treasure: Guidance on Retaining Office Records

Objective: Have you ever wondered, "How long do I need to keep my office records? Can I throw them away when I am done with them?" This workshop provides tools and advice to help you determine how long to keep your records and what to do when you no longer need to hold onto them. Also bring kitchen supplies including pots & pans, silverware, plates, crockery, glassware, books, CD’s, clothing, toys, unopened cosmetics, nonperishable food, linens, tools and all other reusables!
