Full time benefits eligible employees and postdocs paid directly by Harvard who commute by bicycle to work are eligible to participate. Benefit users must be employed through January 31st, 2020 to receive the benefit.
Reimbursement is up to $30/month at a maximum of $360/year for the costs associated with bicycle purchase, improvement, repair, or storage. For any month that you receive the transit benefit, or if you have a yearly daytime parking pass, you are ineligible for the Bicycle Benefit.
Purchases such as bicycle apparel/clothing, Bluebikes memberships, or expenses incurred by your spouse or dependents are not eligible at this time.
Your receipts must indicate the following to be eligible for submission:
- Name of service provider/seller
- Description of service or supplies
- Amount paid AND form of payment
- Date(s) of purchase
**If you purchased a bicycle on Craigslist, Nextdoor, or other independent sales site, you will need to fill out an affidavit form Linked Here for that purchase. Please download that PDF, complete, and submit as you would a receipt when you enter the transaction submission section.**
