Location:

Online

After the successful release of Coloring Ancient Egypt in 2020, the museums are excited to preview the next in our series of activity books, Coloring German Expressionism. In this seminar, Jen Thum, Lynette Roth, and artist Hannah Herrick will discuss how they conceived the book; the challenge of selecting examples from the Busch-Reisinger Museum’s expansive holdings; and how German expressionism can be an exciting means to explore the dynamic nature of color and its application.

Led by:
Jen Thum, Assistant Director of Academic Engagement and Assistant Research Curator, Division of Academic and Public Programs
Lynette Roth, Daimler Curator of the Busch-Reisinger Museum and Head, Division of Modern and Contemporary Art
Hannah Herrick, Ph.D. Student, Department of Archaeology, Simon Fraser University
