Today, stem cell therapy holds great promise for treating cardiovascular disease, but the results to date have been disappointing. In this lecture, Doris A. Taylor of the Texas Heart Institute will talk about improvements to stem cell therapies and better treatments for heart disease, including bio-artificial organs for transplant that use a patient’s own stem cells.
