Flow Through

Location:

Hunnewell Building

Maria Finkelmeier and the Kadence Ensemble will perform Flow Through, Finkelmeier’s 15 minute composition for large ensemble to be played in an outdoor setting. Featuring thirty performers (brass players, singers, and percussionists), the work is inspired by the fluidity and importance of water to living organisms. Flow Through reflects the power of this compound, that brings awe, serenity, catastrophe, and breath to our planet. The musicians will mingle their music with artist Fujiko Nakaya’s fog sculpture as both descend the hillside and flow among the trees and the audience. Bring a blanket or low lawn chair to sit on. Rain Date: September 23

Three performances on 9/22: 4:30, 5:30, and 6:30.
