Gallery Talk: Ruth Asawa’s Student Exercises from Black Mountain College

Bridget Hinz, curatorial assistant for special exhibitions and publications in the Division of Modern and Contemporary art at the Harvard Art Museums, will give this talk.

Organized in conjunction with the exhibition The Bauhaus and Harvard (February 8–July 28, 2019), the talk will discuss Ruth Asawa’s exercises from her years as a student at Black Mountain College, where she studied with former Bauhaus master Josef Albers.

Free with museums admission. Gallery talks are limited to 15 people and tickets are required. Ten minutes before each talk, tickets will become available at the admissions desk.

Please meet in the Calderwood Courtyard, in front of the digital screens between the shop and the admissions desk. Museums staff will be on hand to collect tickets.
