Date:

Wednesday, July 18, 2018, 6:00pm

Location:

Arnold Arboretum - 125 Arborway, Boston, MA - Dana Greenhouses Nursery

For some of us, there is nothing more satisfying than generating more plants. If you identify with this pleasure, then join this tree mob with Arnold Arboretum Plant Propagator Sean Halloran. Sean will discuss several methods of tapping into a plant’s reproductive attributes to duplicate what’s growing in your yard or what you covet from your neighbor's garden. Meet at the Dana Greenhouse and Nursery Facility on Wednesday, July 18 at 6:00pm to get a quick overview of air layering, softwood and greenwood cuttings, and ways to do all of this without a greenhouse!

Parking: Park along the Arborway near the Arborway Gate. Enter through the Arborway Gate and walk to Linden Path.Follow signs through Leventritt Garden to the Bonsai Pavilion to gain access to the nursery area. Or approach the Greenhouse and Nursery from Bussey Hill Road and follow signs.

Public Transportation: Take the MBTA Orange Line to Forest Hills. At the upper level of the station, cross Washington Street and go to the right. Walk uphill on the sidewalk that parallels the Arborway down ramp. Continue until you reach Forest Hills Gate (approximately a 7 minute walk). Enter through the gate and follow the paved road past the ponds and uphill to the Greenhouse Drive off Bussey Hill Road. Follow signs to the mob. Approx. 20 minute walk.
