Dig into earth science with this virtual museum experience. Explore volcanoes, crystals, and fossils! During the live, small-group Zoom sessions, experiment with “lava,” solve a sandy mystery, and see real museum specimens. Continue your investigations at home as you grow crystals, collect rocks, and make your own fossils. A small packet of special materials will be sent to your home to help with your discoveries.

The program fee covers the cost of a small packet of special materials to help with your discoveries. Some activities require additional common supplies such as an empty clear plastic jar with a lid, Play-doh, or a handful of small rocks. A detailed list will be sent two weeks in advance of the program.

Please note that registration closes July 15.

Advance registration required.

To join the program, you will need to download the free Zoom app in advance. If you already have Zoom, you do not need to download it again. For details on how to improve your Zoom experience, visit the How to Attend an HMSC Program webpage.
