In Daniel Pink's book, “Drive: The Surprising Truth about What Motivates Us”, Pink suggests that people are primarily motivated by three things: autonomy, mastery, and purpose. While we all share common motivational drivers, it is also important to assess and recognize your own personal drives and motivators. Awareness of your own strengths and needs at work are the building blocks for becoming more engaged in your role and workplace.
