What do the different job statuses mean?

When reviewing positions in the Job Submission Screen, reqs will have different types of statuses. These statuses will include:

  • Open (candidates are still being reviewed)
  • Hold (search is temporarily suspended)
  • Cancelled (requisition is no longer going to be filled)
  • Closed (job has been filled)

How many employment applications may I submit?

Harvard has a limit of 25 applications within a 30-day rolling period. If you try and apply to a 26th job within 30 days, you will receive an error message.

We encourage all applicants to carefully review each position and job description prior to submitting an application.

Is it possible to edit or add documents to a previously submitted application?

Unfortunately, there is no way to change a completed and submitted application. We encourage all candidates to review their materials carefully before submitting their resume and cover letter.

Please note that you cannot withdraw a previously submitted application in order to make edits or changes to your resume or cover letter.
