Medicinal Plants at the Arnold Arboretum: An Exploration of the Wild and Cultivated Remedies Growing Beneath our Feet

The Leventritt Shrub and Vine Garden contains a multitude of cultivated plants with culturally significant medicinal properties. However, on a casual stroll along Linden Path to the Leventritt, you will pass dozens of other plants that are often looked upon as simple weeds. Many of these plants have rich ethnobotanical histories of their own that tie us closer to our environment. This autumn, experience the birds of the Arboretum with expert birder and Arboretum volunteer, Bob Mayer. Catch a glimpse of migrating birds as they fly south and get acquainted with our resident birds as well. Bring binoculars if you have them; some binoculars will be available to share. Fall PON Negotiation and Dispute Resolution 2018

This highly interactive semester-length seminar explores the ways that people negotiate to create value and resolve disputes. Designed both to improve understanding of negotiation theory and to build negotiation skills, the curriculum integrates negotiation research from several academic fields with experiential learning exercises.

Along the way, record your travels with a Journey Stick, an ancient form of way-finding and storytelling used by Aboriginals and Native Peoples.
