The course brings together professionals, executives, graduate students, fellows, and community members in learning how to  skillfully mediate to create value and resolve disputes. Participants will emerge from the course with a toolkit of skills, approaches, and tactics to negotiate and manage disputes in any setting. Harvard offers child care scholarships, based on need, to eligible faculty, staff and postdocs that help defray the cost of child care. Scholarship awards vary from family to family and year to year, and payments are made on a reimbursement basis. Applications are accepted once per year and current recipients need to re-apply each year.

Harvard offers a School's Out Vacation Camp program to give parents options during the February and April public-school vacation weeks and one hard-to-cover week at the end of the summer. The program generally runs on three campuses: Cambridge, the Longwood Medical Area, and the Harvard Business School.

The program is open to the children, ages 5 to 12, grades K to 6, of benefits-eligible faculty and staff on a regular Harvard payroll.

Art Workshop: Cyanotype Printing for Families

Sarah Cross, the Arnold Arboretum's exhibiting artist of Between the Leaves, will hold a cyanotype printing workshop for families. Join Sarah to make beautiful blue prints of leaves and blooms found at the Arboretum, while you learn about this alternative printing technique. After making your own unique cyanotype photogram, you will be able to take it home. All materials will be provided. This free drop in is appropriate for ages 7 and up.

Angiosperms and Gymnosperms: The Basics

Arnold Arboretum - 125 Arborway, Boston, MA

What better place to look for the differences between angiosperms (plants that flower and have enclosed seeds), and gymnosperms (plants with "naked seeds," including conifers, ginkgos and others), than in the Arnold Arboretum landscape, where over 15,000 plants reside in a living museum. Join our docent as she points out trees in both groups and describes the characteristics of each.

This tour meets at the Centre Street Gate.
