This meeting will be designed for people who are thoroughly familiar with Toastmasters. More emphasis will be placed on practicing our speaking skills and in-depth evaluations

School's Out Vacation Camp Summer 2018

Harvard offers a School's Out Vacation Camp program to give parents options during the February and April public-school vacation weeks and one hard-to-cover week at the end of the summer. The program generally runs on three campuses: Cambridge, the Longwood Medical Area, and the Harvard Business School.

The program is open to the children, ages 5 to 12, grades K to 6, of benefits-eligible faculty and staff on a regular Harvard payroll.

Next session will be during the last week in August.

Registration opens July 16.

Family Hike - Let's Take a Journey, Let's Make it "Stick"!

Join an Arboretum staff member to discover the Arboretum on guided hikes for families. Come find your way through forests and meadows to discover beauty. Along the way, record your travels with a Journey Stick, an ancient form of way-finding and storytelling used by Aboriginals and Native Peoples. One adult may bring a maximum of three children; suitable for children ages five through twelve. Meet in the Visitor Center.

Did you know that almost all of the plants in the Arboretum begin their lives in the Dana Greenhouses? Get a behind-the-scenes look of the greenhouse growing process, from seed to sprout to seedling to tree. Meet at the Bonsai and Penjing Collection above the Leventritt Shrub & Vine Garden. There is a 15 person maximum.

E-mail Management Workshop

July 11, 2018
This workshop on July 25 at 10 a.m. will introduce methods for gaining control of e-mail and managing it according to Harvard records policies as well as provide tips on how to organize your e-mail. You will learn methods of controlling e-mail, the application of the General Records Schedule to e-mail, and examples of types of e-mails with their appropriate retentions. Learn more.
