Year Up

Harvard University is a partner in the Year Up Program. Year Up’s mission is to close the opportunity divide by providing urban young adults with the skills, experience and support that will empower them to reach their potential through educational opportunities and professional career pathways. Please visit the Year Up website at http://www.yearup.org/ Year Up is a nonprofit organization, established in 2000 that provides eligible high school graduates and GED recipients from the Greater Boston area with comprehensive classroom education followed by a six month, hands-on workplace skill application in a supervised internship.

Since 2004, Harvard University has sponsored approximately 60 interns per year in internship opportunities. Many of these interns have gone to permanent positions at the university.

If your department is interested in sponsoring an intern for a six-month appointment, please contact michelle_gordon-seemore@harvard.edu for more information.
