In this introductory 2-hr workshop, you will learn and apply a framework to initiate, define, plan, and schedule a project. This course is intended for people leading a project who have little or no formal training in the project management process seeking an introduction to key concepts. Through this hands-on approach you apply tools and techniques and develop a project plan. Note: this workshop does not teach the use of project management software. In this 2.5-hour virtual session, we will practice how to deliver a difficult message with poise, empathy and resolve. We will explore the nature of difficult conversations and what it takes to navigate them to generate solutions and tolerate the discomfort that comes with knowing difficult conversations are a part of how we learn and grow.
What are your strengths when it comes to influence on your team or in your department? What about with your manager? Other stakeholders? In this two-hour session, we will focus on best practices for listening to and understanding your audience (those you want to influence). We all have barriers to our influence; we will practice overcoming those and expanding our sphere of influence.
