Día de los Muertos/Day of the Dead Family Event

Peabody Museum of Archaeology & Ethnology, 11 Divinity Avenue, Cambridge

Families can enjoy traditional snacks, folk dance, crafts, and live music in festive museum galleries. Decorate a sugar skull and design a message to place upon the Día de los Muertos altar. Experience the customs that make this Mexican holiday a joyful celebration. Complimentary event parking available at the 52 Oxford St. Garage. No advance tickets required. Snacks and activities free with museum admission except skull decorating ($5 per skull).

Día de los Muertos/Day of the Dead Evening Celebration

Peabody Museum of Archaeology & Ethnology, 11 Divinity Avenue, Cambridge

Celebrate Day of the Dead with a festive evening of music, food, and community. Remember departed loved ones in front of this year’s Día de los Muertos altar, savor Mexican beverages and light refreshments, and enjoy the lively music of the Mariachi Véritas de Harvard and Trio Ollin.

Complimentary event parking available at the 52 Oxford St. Garage. Tickets are only available online and must be purchased in advance. Tickets on sale October 20:$10 members/$15 nonmembers.

Observers are welcome; admission is free (tickets/RSVPs not required). This event is presented in collaboration with American Repertory Theater.

To speed up the process, also bring a completed Flu Immunization Consent Form, which you can get from HUHS or from HURA ahead of time. HURA members on the E-list will receive a copy.
