School's Out Vacation Camp

Mon Apr 18 (All day) to Fri Apr 22 (All day)

Harvard's Schools Out Vacation Camp offers activities and care for children ages 5-12, grades kindergarten to 6, during the Massachusetts public school vacation weeks. 

April camp is April 18-22, 8am-6pm each day.

Sign up for the entire week or per day - $100/week, $20/ per day per child.

Sign up for the entire week or per day - $80/week, $20/ per day per child. Registration begins in mid-January.

 Jane Lubchenco was the first woman to be appointed Under Secretary of Commerce for Oceans and Atmosphere and Administrator of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The Art of Botanical Drawing: A Four-week Course

Harvard Museum of Natural History, 26 Oxford Street

Four Saturdays: April 9, 16, 23 and 30
9:30 -11:30 am

Explore the beauty and variety of plant forms using pencil, watercolor, and colored pencil. This four-week course will introduce botanical drawing techniques through close observation and practice with contour, gesture, foreshortening, shading, and color. All skill levels are welcome.

Butterflies and Moths Color Workshop

Observe and draw the beauty of butterflies and moths in this three-hour color workshop. This program will introduce some observational drawing techniques with pencil, and then delve into colored pencils to create a rich, vibrant image. All skill levels are welcome.

Learn to capture birds with pencil and paper in this hands-on workshop. Explore avian anatomy by drawing birds, discover step-by-step methods for developing bird sketches, and master techniques for capturing feather textures and achieving greater accuracy. Discuss tips for field sketching, a particularly useful skill for birders and those interested in keeping field notes or nature journals. All skill levels are welcome.
